West End Action Group
(WEAG)

The West End Action Group (WEAG) was formed in 2014 to assess the increased planning applications being made in and around West End as these threatened to harm the character of the village. The group’s principal successes were in its opposition to proposed developments in Fenns Lane and Fairfield Lane, both of which were unacceptable intrusions on the Green belt surrounding West End, and were refused.

WEAG also made contributions in other ways, such as commenting in detail on draft Local Plans.

In 2023, WEAG was merged into the West End Village Society (WEVS).
