Welcome to WEVS

The West End Village Society was originally founded in 1973 as a non-political, volunteer-led village community organisation open to all West End residents. Our wide-ranging brief includes preserving and enhancing our local heritage and natural environment.

WEVS aims to work with residents, organisations and businesses in order to:
– Stimulate interest and involvement in village affairs
– Preserve the history and heritage of the village
– Assess and comment upon planning and related issues
– Participate in the formulation of Local Plans
– Arrange public events, such as lectures and walks
– Establish a major activity each year as Project of the Year
– Forge links with other West End organisations.

We welcome members from in and around the West End area. As a member, you will receive regular newsletters covering news and events in and around West End and updates regarding our activities.

West End Village is in the heart of Surrey Heath, approximately 25 miles southwest of central London.

VE80 Day Celebrations

Enjoy the daffodils

West End’s daffodils peaked during the first two weeks of April.
If you missed the very wet and rainy annual daffodil walk on 23 March, that was
the time to do it. It was the perfect weather for it.

Download the map here for the best route.

Save it for next year.

Daffodil Walk

The annual Daffodil Walk around West End took in the brilliant display of daffodils we had again this year. Thirty intrepid walkers set off from the Rosewood Way car park on Sunday, 23 March, in very wet weather.
Most stayed the course and enjoyed the hospitality of the Hare & Hounds.

West End Walks

West End is ideally situated between Bisley, Lightwater and Chobham and borders onto Brentmoor Heath and the Windlemere SANG. There are many ways to enjoy nature and wildlife. Explore on your own or join one of our walks.
